Day Five- Changing Gears

As I mentioned yesterday, the awesome Lisa Jane suggested my endocannabinoid  system may not be in balance yet.  I won’t pretend to know all the ins and outs of that system, but there are plenty of sites on the web that explain it for those interested.  So, I’m staying on the high dose for a few more days.  At present, I’ve switched to one dropper full 3x a day.  The two droppers at once wasn’t quite agreeing with me, but single dropper doses work great.  The plan is to keep on this schedule a few more days and see if it has an effect.

Hips and knee- These joints are doing great.  Zero pain in hips.  Slight discomfort in knee due to the loose calcium deposit, but the joint itself feels awesome. UltraCell is certainly useful for those suffering from psoratic arthritis.  In my opinion, it’s a great option for those like me who want to avoid drugs that lower one’s immune system.  No tuberculosis for me, thank you very much.

Neck- remains improved, pain level 2, which makes it much easier to sleep at night.  For me, this is a pinched nerve issue, not my psoratic arthritis.  Yes, it’s not pain free, but that it has improved my pinched nerves so much is a miracle.  I visit the chiropractor today (huzzah!) and I think the combination of these two non-traditional pathways is going to be a big success.

Wrist and fingers-   Woke up with wrist pain free (also huzzah!) and finger joints nearly so.  Applied topical UltraCell and finger joints are now pain free.  Suspect than with a little more time, the oral dose of UltraCell will clear this up and I won’t need the topical.

Sleep- I actually got 7.5 hours last night.  Lovely, but not unusual.  I’ll have to track this over time to see if it’s a new trend, or my usual occasional occurrence of having about 1 day a week over 7 hrs.  Continued to feel better rested when I woke up, and I have to tell you, whether UltraCell improves my time spent asleep or not, it’s worth it to feel better rested.

Anxiety and focus- I’ve mentioned that UltraCell does help my anxiety short term.  For an hour or two after dosing, anxiety is relieved, then the effect wears off.  Right now, I don’t think I’ll be able to throw my anxiety med in the trash, but I certainly won’t need it as often.

More positively, I do think UltraCell is helping my ability to focus.  One of the symptoms of my hyperthyroidism is that it affects focus, which has played havoc with my novel writing.  I’ve been very distressed about this.  If this improved ability to focus continues, I might get my current work-in-progress finished, which would mean the world to me.

Psoriasis skin issues- I had to discontinue the topical on my lips.  Lips went into full-blown outbreak and the topical began to burn on application.   Probably the effect of the citronella oil, which is great for pain, but not so much for a psoriasis outbreak.  You know I love the topical.  It’s great for pain, but I can’t put it on my lips any longer.  It did seem to delay the outbreak.  Now I wonder if it might work as a preventative.  I’ve been applying it to the skin of my inner elbow, where I get a recurring patch of psoriasis.  I’ll let you know.

Gout- Gouty toe is awesome and pain free.  If any of you have gout, you know how painful it is and how little anything does to offer relief.  It gets so bad that I can’t even stand to have a sheet touch it when I’m sleeping, and have to prop my foot up so it doesn’t touch the bed. In my opinion, gout sufferers should get some UltraCell topical and try it immediately.  I’ve tried all the things.  Ibuprofen, apple cider vinegar, turmeric, ice, you name it.  This topical relieves the pain and keeps it gone.  When used with my med to lower purines, I have completely stopped a full-blown gout occurrence from happening.  With my upcoming trip, and the fact that my gout usually lasts for 2-3 weeks, this is a huge relief to me. I can’t tell you how awesome this is.  When you’re lying in bed, foot hurting so much you can’t sleep, you’ll try anything to get some relief.  This topical actually does something, so get it.

That’s it for today.  More tomorrow.
